For Students

Wells Christian Academy students will become life-long learners in all areas of their lives. The individualized attention, a safe loving atmosphere, and working alongside families prepare students to apply what they learn to daily living.


Young Fives

  • Designed for those who may be just under the age for Kindergarten.

  • Allows children to further develop their emotional, social, physical, and cognitive skills

  • Provides a bridge between Preschool and Kindergarten.

  • Flexible scheduling is offered, with all-day option if desired.


  • Designed for children who are 5 years old by September 1.

  • Provides strong academic structure in the morning.

  • Encourages center-time for learning and specials of Art, Music, Computers, Physical Education, and Spanish in the afternoon.

  • Established goal for successful student reading and mathematics skills as they complete Kindergarten.

Grades 1-6

  • Participates in peer-to-peer mentoring programs with older students mentoring younger students.

  • Enhanced social, academic, and spiritual development.

  • Smaller class sizes help students score significantly higher on state testing.

  • Academic and behavioral support is provided with two adults in each classroom.

  • Differentiated learning for all students.

General Information and Extra Curricular

Christian Education

  • Christ-centered, Bible-based curriculum will teach students to honor God in all they do.

  • WCA will use God's Word as the basis for everything, including character development in our students.

  • Regular opportunities will be provided for students to express their love for Christ in service to others in their classrooms and community.

  • Bishop Nathaniel W. Wells Jr. Christian Academy will provide a non-denomination, Christ-centered education for students from many religious backgrounds.

  • Area pastors will provide a weekly Chapel Service where students can learn about worship, prayer, and what it means to be a child of God.

Enrichment Clubs

  • A variety of clubs which establish and interest and excitement for science, technology, arts, engineering, and math (S.T.E.A.M.) will be offered throughout the year.

  • Possible clubs will include Rockets, Robotics, Chess, Computer Applications, Nature, Art, Music, and Drama.

  • Clubs will be offered every 6 to 8 weeks.

Before & After School

  • Early arrival and late release is available to students from 6:30 a.m. to the start of school and 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

  • We provide a safe, loving environment where children can receive help with homework, play games, enjoy computer time, and play outside when weather permits.

  • After school tutoring and homework help will be available at all grade levels.
